A Letter to Congress

Congress has recently voted not to bail out the auto industry and all i can say is. ARE YOU STARK RAVING BLOODY MAD!!!!!!

Here's a news flash to all of the over paid ignorant people of congress...ITS NOT JUST THE AUTO INDUSTRY THAT'S GOING TO SUFFER!

As someone who lives in Detroit and has worked for an auto supplier and who's Father still works in the industry all i can say is that Detroit is dying a slow and painful death, and you are doing nothing to help. It is impossible to get a job here (i should know, I've been trying for 6 months!), people are loosing their homes and it's not just those directly working for the industry. What about restaurants, movie theaters, shops, malls, car dealers, baristas, waitresses, grocery stores, universities, chefs and so many more people i can't even list!

And it's not just Michigan, this will effect Ohio and loads of other States that are connected with this industry, this will reverberate around the world. So while you gave billions of dollars to the Banking and financial industry without so much as a receipt with no time line to pay back, the auto executives went cap in hand to BEG you to help them, and were denied for no good reason. Sure you may say that the general American public didn't want you to give a bailout...but that's because they don't live here, they don't know and no one has taken the time to educate them of this.

So congratulations congress of giving Detroit and the Auto industry one the final nail in the coffin. I'm sure the millions of out of work workers will be sure to vote for you next time!
